Remains of Ornithocheirus have been found as far afield as Brazil, the USA and England, suggesting that Ornithocheirus was widely distributed and may have been migratory. Yearly excursions over thousands of kilometres were made to reach the mating ground, and once there, the prime site for attracting a mate would have been in the centre of the melee. Those left on the outskirts, through age or infirmity, appear to have simply waited for death.
